  • Policy checkAllowed, approval only or prohibited, according to the OpenAI Ad Policies of September 10, 2026. If your product is prohibited, you see that right away, before any calculation.
  • Your buyers on Free and GoAds only run on ChatGPT Free and Go. The check estimates how much buying power your target customers have there, and tells you why.
  • 1,000 clicks worked throughArrived, stayed, engaged, qualified, sale, with the price from your page and a typical margin for your product. Every number has a reason, and you can change any of them.
  • Your planning CPCThe cost per click up to which the ad pays for itself. If your bid is higher, you lose money on every click.
  • The result by emailTo file away or forward to your boss, clients or agency.

A check that always says “it pays off” would be an ad.

This one has six possible answers. If your offer doesn't pay off in ChatGPT Ads, that's exactly what the result says. An honest no before launch saves more budget than any optimization afterwards.

Quick answers

Do ChatGPT Ads pay off for every page?

No. A prohibited category ends the check before the calculation. Otherwise the check works through 1,000 clicks: arrived, stayed, engaged, qualified event, sale. The share on Free or Go only reduces the sales. At the end, the contribution is set against the click cost. The numbers are planning rates, and you can change any of them.

What does the check cost, and what's the catch?

It's free, and you don't commit to anything. The result is shown on the page and sent to you by email. Unblock makes money by fixing campaigns that are already running. This check is for the question before that: whether launching pays off at all.

Do I need access to my ads account?

No. No login, no ads account, no API key. The check only reads what's public on your page.

Where do the numbers come from?

The check reads price, offer and call to action from your page. A language model estimates the target customer and the rates from the page text, and the margin from what's typical for this kind of product. Where the text gives nothing, planning rates close to the reported bounce rate of ChatGPT clicks apply. Every number is shown with its reason.

Which categories does OpenAI exclude from ChatGPT Ads?

As of September 10, 2026 (v1.6): dating, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, gambling, politics, health claims, single housing or job listings, weapons, counterfeits, credit repair, debt settlement and bullion are prohibited. Finance, health and legal only run with manual approval, for approved US advertisers.

What does the share on Free or Go mean?

Ads only run on ChatGPT Free and Go, so every click arrives. The share reduces sales: users on Free and Go may have less buying power, and that affects some offers more than others. The bounce rate depends on the page.

What happens to my email address?

That's where the result goes. Tips and offers only if you tick the box and confirm via link. You don't need an account or a password.

Is the result an approval from OpenAI?

No. The check reads the public ad policy and your page. The calculation is a plan, not a measurement. It doesn't run anything and doesn't write a campaign.
